  A well run and stylish casual bar that serves up market pub food. The menu is innovative and fresh. Well woth trying and in my view, returning.

  Great food, lovely staff and great setup. Can get a little busy over the weekend, so recommend booking a table. Great addition to the Bruce area!

  We dined there last night for the first time. It was excessively noisy and we couldn't have a normal conversation. In fairness it was very busy which I presume accounted for the cold beer being poured into a hot glass apparently straight out of the dishwasher. It was expensive for what we received and the wine list was not very extensive. The food I thought was fairly basic and not good value for the money spent. I think there are much better value restaurants in the Belconnen area and I will not be returning to Stanley's in a hurry.

  Straight off the bat - acoustics. Immediate five stars. I spoke with the owner who actually, considered, the comfort of patrons in their design. Upon walking in to enjoy a fathers day lunch I was pleasantly relieved to hear that relaxed conversation will be very easy here. Everything from the carpet to the walls has been designed with sound dampening in mind. Oh the revelation! Many inferior profit minded cafes actually intentionally design in bad acoustics with hard reflecting surfaces to encourage a high turnover of patrons. I am just so over having to strain to hear conversation and to have to shout to be heard. Not Stanley's! Conversation was very easy and one can speak at a normal, relaxed, volume - even with a packed venue with noisy families on one of the busiest times of the year. Then there's the food, beer on tap, service etc. All very high quality and at a reasonable price. And with a focus on community integration and involvement. Stanley's is simply amazing. Sure there are a few areas they can improve on such as table service and backed chairs however this is not a big issue as the owner has clearly prioritised patron conversation and relationships and I salute them. Well done on an amazing effort and I truly wish to see Stanley's do well. A fantastic welcome addition to the local community.
